Joint forces raid in Tongir Mazar Basti
Joint forces conducted eighty raids in Tongir Mazar Basti of Gazipur. The operation led by the army started after Saturday (March 01) evening. About fifty people were arrested in the operation. Drugs and cash were also recovered.
It is known that the operation was conducted from Saturday evening based on serious allegations of drug dealing around the slums of Tongir. Locals said that drug dealing has been going on in the slum almost openly for a long time. Locals complain that the matter has been reported to the local police station many times, but no action has been taken.
Numerous small houses were seen in the slums of Tongir's shrine on the surface. In addition to the sale of drugs in those rooms, there are also arrangements for the consumption of various drugs in the slum. Locals said that transport workers are the main buyers of this spot.

There are also allegations that the people of Mazar Basti are involved in robbery and dacoity. Already, about 60 drug dealers and various identified terrorists have been arrested. Drugs and cash were also recovered. He also said that such a campaign would continue throughout Ramadan.
